Happy New Year

My year in review...hmm I am sure there is a variety of good that happened this year, but my heart it full with having a little baby. I love my life and my family, I am hoping that this high stays through 2010. Happy new year to all, I hope that ours is full of love!

The Nice List

Our first family Disneyland experience...got to see Santa! Momma and Poppa already got everything that they wanted for Christmas! Luella what do you want?

Mornings with Momma & Poppa

It is now Christmas break and Lu get's her Momma and her Poppa home with her for two weeks. Family mornings with the baby are the best. She is full of smiles when she wakes, shortly follow by a morning blowout...Let's just say she is very regular! Today Luella rolled over for the first time, on the bed, from her back to her tummy...oh no, now we really got to watch her. She also recently decied that nap time is just a little bit more comfortable out of momma's arms and in bed *bitter sweet*. With the recent roll over the video monitor is now become a must!

Poppa and Lu

Lu Loves her Poppa and her Poppa Loves Lu. He made her laugh for the first time yesterday. It was such a great moment and feel so blessed that we were both there to experience it...of course we both cried! He gives her a million kisses a day! We aren't too sure by the faces she makes if she is a big fan of all the kisses, but she must learn to love them...cause poppa isn't going to stop anytime soon!

Little Miss Exercise

Well it is to no surprise that Lu just wants to workout all day. Of course that is what the parents call it. She is only happy if doing a constant "V-up", tummy time, trying to grab feet (but makes an awkward face doing so *see below*), or going from lying down to sitting to stand while holding onto momma's hands....is this normal, because it seems a little OCD to me. Oh wait, look who it talking!!! Other that that she is definately starting to change her patterns, with thing like eating quicker and thinking that the new 5:45 am wkae up call is better the then previous 6:45 (which the parents liked better). She still won't take a bottle, but maybe that will be momma's out to stay home longer *wishful thinking*. She still grunts, farts, and poops like a man, but coughs and sneezes like a little lady (these are very cute)! Happy Two Months

Today Luella is two months old. She is turning into her own person for sure. I can't believe that she can be so opinionated at 2 months. Yesterday she was quite feisty and didn't want much to do with me or pappa. Today though she is full of smiles again.

Our First Thanksgiving

 

 

 

 

I felt like our first Thanksgiving was a success, thanks to my Mom, Aaron and my Aunts, Cousins, sisters and, of course, Nana. There was no way to have done this without their help. Luella was quite a tropper too. She slept in the sleepy wrap just in time so momma could eat...and I must say it was yummy! Thanks everyone, can't wait until next year.

I love taking pictures of lu, I have tons. I guess that comes with motherhood, along chopping off my hair, one hand typing, and the purchase of a minivan yesterday. My subaru didn't do us much good anymore, since in order to get the carseat in the back of the car you have to move the front passenger seat all the way up and erect...not even a christmas elf could fit in the front seat anymore.
Some of Lu's newest...she sucks her tongue with a some force now, you can actually her the sucking. She discovered her feet today during our photosession. She couldn't take her eyes off of them. She loves the sleepywrap and so does mom! She is starting to coo up a storm. When she sighs she nays like a horse. After a yawn she makes a sound like daffy duck. And when she is tired she sqwuaks like a bird. Her Pop's goal is to give her 100 kisses a day and get her ready for bath time...one of her faves!

The Tongue

 

In case you haven"t meet her yet, Luella is always sticking out her tongue. Maybe it doesn"t fit in her mouth good...not sure, but Lu is in for it. Everyone already sticks there tongue out at her, wait until she knows what she is doing!

Say Cheese

 

So the little one is discovering her fingers and thumbs more and more daily. She also loves everything cheap! All the expensive gear that I have she doesn't like, so to replace things like cars seats is not easy to decide or spend the money on so, I just go with the least expensive one to make my decision. She seems to like all the cheaper stuff better. Good, for Christmas in years to come it will be all about the $.99 Store! She is smiling more and more everyday. She is starting to be like every baby and gets a little fussy in the evenings. My favorite part of the day is from 6am - 7am when she sleeps like a pitch fork on my chest! We are taker her out and about more, she loves to take in the world as long as she doesn"t have to do it from the car, or while tired or hungry. Finally, she loves when her pop tickles her as well as give her millions of baby kisses. Oh yeah, and she loves, loves, loves sticking her tongue out of mouth.

{Happy 1 Month}

 

Luella is one month old and is weighing over 11 pounds. Needless to say she is a little eater. She is also some what of a nap fighter but I can't complain because she is a good little sleeper during the night...she wakes me up twice to eat and (usually) goes right back to sleep. She love her little bouncer chair and her woodland friends, orange head, yellow monster and owl friend (yeah, not sure!). She is not kken on the car seat, the swing, the pacifier or anything gimicky, but would needs all those soothers when you have a tongue to suck! Yes, this liitle sucks her tongue or usially just sticks it out to let you know what she thinks of you. She is starting to coo, and suck her fingers. Se also farts so loud that often is wakes me and pop up in the middle of the night. Our big outings of the first month was the pumpkin patch, Becky's Halloween Party, George's Greek Cafe, and Church. Many strangers think she is a boy, that is most likely due to her sweet faux hawk thst she was born with. That's ok she is stil my pretty girl!

Our little girl often sounds much more like an old man! Check out how red her face gets when trying to poop!

The First Bath

 

She didn't complain, but rather enjoyed the warm water. She wasn't so much of a fan of the coldy after...need to put towels in the dryer next time!
