Happy Anniversary

Today is my one year anniversary! I can honestly say it has been the best year of my life. I hope it only gets better from here...

This is Jon. He is 2. He likes to call all food chicken. I wish it was ok for all of us too eat our "chicken" like this. ps - he had to take a bath after this because his skin was stained orange.

Lu's Room...Done

The nesting phase has set in and I became obsessed with decorating the baby's room. Thanks to awesome gifts (all my etsy wishlist items, a beautiful crib, and the endless shower presents and cards!), some hidden treasures I dug up, and creativity I had a blast creating a fun space. I now have everything I need to have this little one. Now, it just better be a girl!

Another Baby Shower

Thanks to all my home girls (Becky, Charla, Dana, Kal, Aunny, Cora and Erin!) for throwing me such a fabulous shower. I loved it so much. Here are a few photos of the event. If you want to see the rest go here...

32 Weeks...

Nerd books for papa (he will be papa not dad, I need to start practicing this now, not natural for me since all my papa's were grandparents).
Love the pumpkin hat, actually got lot of super cute knitted hats, hopefully she will tolerate them on her head (at least for some photo sessions).
Everyone brought me a book, "My book about Me" I have from when I was a kid and it is hilarious, can't wait to see how this one get's filled out about her!
And the cake, as many of you know I am not a princess anything, so Of course I thought my friends did this on purpose. Even better is was a total accident. Creative Cakery just assumed this was appropriate for all girl cakes and this is how it arrived.

Painting Luella's Room

Yesterday, Becky was awesome enough to help me paint lu's room. I had gotten paint about a week ago and it was time. The color I thought I got was a version of white with a little hint of pink in it (it was called smoked oyster). Well, apparently smoked oysters are purple, because the room ended up to be lavendar. Megan (my sister) & others know I am not a great fan of light purple so needless to say I was at Home Depot at & 7am this morning getting new paint, and blue tape. Yes I have taken all the tape down to see if it would magically make the room look pinker...it didn't, so I have to retape everything again. This time I went with Chartreuse (or Mojito)...something I should have done from the beginning. It is one of my favorite colors, I mean, I even had it in my wedding...I know I'm weird.
