Love

Oh how I love this little girl. It's funny that in planning this photoshoot (with Aunt Char Char) I didn't want to be in any pictures. Mostly because I was lazy and didn't want to have to take a shower. The funny thing is, I love some of these pictures the best. I loving having this being that loves me unconditionally. I love it when she reaches for me and wants me to hold her. I am sure there will be times in my life that this will get old (only wanting mama), but for now I will take it. Now that she is becoming more indepented by crawling, learning how to stand on things and becoming more interested in everything she sees (we didn't thnk that "more" could happen since she was extremely interested in everything from birth), it is cute when she crawls back to me to just check in. She will nuzzle her head on my leg or my tummy and then off she goes again. She is our little inquisitive girl and you can see it in her eyes. The thing that people say the most about her is how aware she is of the world around her. She really takes in all in. If you are a new person she will check you out for about 15 mintues with out blinking just to really know every detail about you! I can't wait for all the fun new things she is doing, well maybe not the first tantrum I saw today when I wouldn't let her eat a plastic bag. Although, I did love when she was itty bitty, I love every new thing she is doing...It is so much fun.

6+ Months

Little Lu = So Much Fun! She has so much personality it is hard to believe she is only 6 months old. In just a week she has done so much. Her learning curve for things is very short. She has the determination of I don't know what (well me, can I say that, or is that bragging?). She is no longer army crawling (it was actually more like a wounded soldier crawl), she is real crawling! She also is sitting without needed any fall cushions. She can go from crawling to sitting to kneeling with no problem. She is working on the standing but so far tries mostly with her hands still on the ground and looks more like she is doing down. It will only be days and she will be pulling herself up to standing, I just know it. Our house is very baby proof, in fact our den in pretty much a plastic corral. Lu knows we don't like her on the hard tile and I know she knows this because today got on it and crawled away from me as fast as she could laughing!! How does she know this is funny?

Foods she has had so far is cereal, avocado, nectarines, pears, prunes, apples, sweet potato, butternut squash, acorn squash, mango and chicken...she loves it all. Today we gave her a bagel to chomp on for her teeth, well her non-existent, she still has non. Back to the bagel, as you can probably tell by the pictures, she wasn't a fan.

Lu is getting more social daily. She has the "Who are you and what are you doing in my space" look (if you now Aaron you know what this face looks like), or she may give you smiles, or a one eye-brown lift with a smirk. Just the other day she started full arm waving; and now she plays a game of tilting her head side to side in hope that you will copy her in viewing your sideways world. It is very cute.

Until, next month, at my blogging rate these days...geesh! Gonna work on that one!

Back @ It...Kinda

Since Luella has been born I haven't much time or inspiration to do graphics. But my friend Jeanette is due to have a baby girl any day now, which gave me a boost to be be creative again. Here is the monogram art I created for sweet Eilee's room. Check out her super cute bedding. I love the name Eilee, it is after Jeanette's grandmother Eileen! I am so excited that Eilee and Luella will be so close in age. It will be fun to sit and watch them play together.
