{Jude's Birthday} Child's Play

Our good friends, Jeanette and Mark (he married us) left for Okinawa, Japan this week. Mark recently became a Navy Chaplin. Before their departure we bid farewell and celebrated Jude's (thier son) 2nd birthday at Child's Play in Temecula. I hope Jeanette, Mark, Jude and Eilee (there 4 month girl) have an amazing adventure overseas. I also hope that Aaron, Lu and I will be able to visit them next summer. Here are a few captures of the day by Charla Blue. Lu was a little under the weather but had a blast non the less! She loved climbing on pretty much anything. She also loved the bubbles and playing with Brooklyn and new friends. But her favorite was the little trampoline. Jumpy, Jump, Jump, Jump, jump (In the Tune of Yo Gabba Gabba) although she mostly just crawled over it!

Sick {again}

Poor baby l has got cold. She was up all night gagging due to congestion. Thank goodness she has a good papa that slept with her in the recliner all night so she could breath. Napping today is happening in the car. Hopefully tonight she will feel better and sleep better.

Oh Canada...{on the farm}

Our trip to Canada was simply amazing. I say simple be cause we spent time enjoying company on a farm. Amazing, because the family that hosted us, might be, if not, the nicest people on the planet. The Bonnet family is Aaron's friend Jason's Wife, Michelle's, Parent (did you all catch that!). We decided to visit Canada since Michelle and I were on Maternity Leave at the same time and became friends through facebook while we typed one handed with a baby sleeping on our lap. While on the farm we spent time with Michelle and Jason, their son Ethan, Michelle's sister and brother in-law Nicole and Kyle, Nicole's Daughters, Kiana (2) and Kaylee (7), Michelle's Mom and Dad, Joan & George! Unfortunately, none of us thought to get a picture all together. But here are a bunch of Lu (aka Lululemon as name by Kiana!)
The first day we got to help out by shelling pea's from the garden. Luella love "organizing" the pods!! Hours of fun, ey!

I thought it was only appropriate to wear my overall's on the farm. We captured a little family photo with John Deere!
Here is the stone house that was built by hand a long long time ago!

Luella love the garden and so did we, fresh peas, greens beans, potatoes, carrots and lettuce everyday...yum!

And like all kids Luella really loved the rocks in the driveway.
While we were up there Ethan had his first Birthday Party. Michelle made two hand made amazing cakes, a cow and a monkey! Here you can see baby Ethan and the Cow.

Luella enjoyed her first piece of cake...opps mom accidentally gave her chocolate, mostly because Lu stole the cake of my plate!

Ethan and Luella had a fun time playing together. Thanks again Bonnet family!

My Cute Little Girl {who is always called he}

Poor Little Lu...well maybe that is the problem. When you've got a name like "Lu" people might think you are a boy, or when she is only wearing a firefighter navy blue t-shirt, or maybe because she has a mohawk, but when you have on loads of pink, or a cure little hat, or a strappy tank tops she is not a boy. I guess this is my fault. I have been called "young man" and "sir" even as a grown woman. Why does Luella and her Mamma look like a boy? Sorry Lu.

On another note, I wanted to give a 10-month update on the Little Lady!
1. There is no more crawling in the house, we are walking...are walking good enough that mom doesn't freak out when she is on the concrete anymore!
2. We got some shoes on her feet!
3. We got a hat on her head (pictured about)!
4. Absolutely LOVES watching "Yo Gabba Gabba" and "Your baby can talk - Baby Sign Video"(The funny thing is, is that I don't think she will need to sign since she just say the words after they do in the video. I take advantage of this probably too much because she will cuddle with me the entire episode, so I let her watch too much TV of course.
6. Her word list is as follows: mamma, papa, dog, cat, bubbles, book, num num (food/eat), mal (milk), nose, mouth, ears, hot, no, duck, dah dah (kids), baby, all done, hugs.
5. She is in love with two very annoying lift flap books that she will find anywhere I hide them and bring them to anyone to be read over and over again.
6. Her favorite toys are a baby doll, a shopping cart, a plastic credit card with a duck on it, an empty bottle of bubbles, the two annoying books mentions above.
7. She does not like taking baths in the big bathtub.
8. She like doing things that are hard...it seems like she sets up obstacle course with her toys to make it more challenging to get around. Just the other day she pushed Brooklyn around in a car in the back yard (Brooklyn is a year older then her!)
9. She loves climbing on things (I predict that next month she will be able to climb up on the couch).
10. She loves singing the "Baby, Baby...”song from you Gabba Gabba.
11. When she wake up in the morning she first thing says is either mamma or papa and then gives one of us a kiss while inspecting our sleepy eyes.
12. She dances when music comes on.
13. Plays the drums on my legs.
14. Fake eats papa's nipples.
15. And I am sure there is so much more that I am forgetting, but at least I have recorded a few.

Two {of her many} Favs

Luella recently has fell in love with a blue bubble bottle. She seems to take it everywhere with her, below is can be spotted in her left hand while eating lunch. She has been know to hold it for 2 hours straight. I am not sure if she knows she is holding it, or if it is some sort of innate gesture to be grasping on to something.

Another one of Luella's favorites....is our food. Now looking at the photo above one might also want a delicious sandwich rather then cottage cheese, plain chicken and squashed pluot.

I must say you can see the joy in her eyes in each bite (well except when her eyes are closed, ha!). It was very cute to hear her smack her lips with delight as well.
