Waffles

So being pregnant I get ask many of the same questions everyday like "How do you feel?", "How are along are you, etc?" and all the other normal things like "Do you have any cravings?"... So far I have not had many craving, I more so just don't have much self control and have reverted to many of my high school eating habits of chips and cheese in the microwave, graham cracker peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and candy. One thing that is new though is my need to eat in the middle of the night. I wake up STARVING and MUST EAT in order to go back to sleep (sleep, yeah that is a whole other topic). Anyways, there is on thing tried and true for my midnight snack and that is frozen waffles (cooked of course)! I have tried many brands I have found Van's multigrain to be the ultimate best, especially with a little bit of spray butter and log cabin syrup!

Yesterday, my family threw me a shower with my aunts, sister and some good friends of my mom's that were always present when I was growing up. It was so fun to see everyone. I was showered with generous gifts. My best friend from high school, Jeanette, made the drive to San Diego with me and endured 4 hours of traffic to make it home. She was pregnant last summer and these are from both of our showers...fun (funny I almost wore the same dress)! I am so excited I have another shower this weekend and the next!

Good Friends with Good Finds

My friend Maurine, who I went to school with from 1st-12th grade and just recently found on facebook (love that), introduced me to these great finds..how cute. Recently, Maurine and I just stuff meet up for lunch, we hadn't seen each other in about 13 years. I was so great visiting with her and seeing her cute little baby boy Brayden. It is nice to have friends when you are old who knew you when you were very young, there is a special sort of bond!

Jon Turns Two

So if you have been wondering why I haven't been blogging, I have been busy playing with friends and their kids. One highlight of he week was celebrating Jon's second birthday. Here are some highlights of the two-day event!!!

Some Brooklyn First's

Ok, so many of you know Brooklyn, and yes she seems to appear often on the blog...just wait until I have my own kid the crazy movies that will be produced. But since Charla gave me the flip I feel it is only appropriate to share it with her the best way that I know how and that is my filming her child. Ironically, Brooklyn like to do things for the first time at our house...like crawl. So it would only make sense for her to test her limits (no not walking yet, but come over soon and maybe she will!!)

Happy Fourth

Today was great day. Two years ago we started a tradition of going to a mellow boat beach at marine stadium. It is a secret spot away from the crowds and it is nice to enjoy the day with friends and family away from the madness. This year was special because we were able to come back to our house walk two blocks to see fireworks. Here are some shots of our fireworks crew!
