Springtime Fun {brrr}
Check out the "cheese" face, and the mad face....little performer!

March {WA R EW?}
March has come and gone with no blog to be had, mostly because, this little one it giving me a run for my money, or should I say for my computer. Computers (all electronics for that matter) and toddlers don't match and are not worth the fight. So blogging happens when Lulu in sleeping and pictures only happen with the phone. Lately, I have been going to bed when Lu does and our weekend have been filled with napping on the run, which leaves us here is April.
In March, Luella was looking for everything..."mama wa r ew?" translation , mom were are you? She would look for Papa, blanket, food, baby, Elmo, you name it. It was, and is, her way of asking for what she wants. March was also full of "No." Common, I no (ha!). Overall, her vocabulary is increasing daily. My current favorite is "mee-mee, mama" which means excuse me, mama. This is always stated with in the sweetest voice, a tilt of the head and with the slightest under-bite. She will be patience and keep asking excuse me until you move. Now when anything is in her way, mee-mee trash, mee-mee clothes, mee-mee stroller, until one of us move it for her.
Here is a little recap of the past month(s) adventures
.
This little girl loves her meat. This is proof. She is all about taking things into her own hands, "literally."
Baby legs...yum!
Best Friends, already playing dress up...
Her first juice box, all by herself. The "cheese" smile tells she is pleased. The mom is please because it is on a tile floor at a hotel.
The Living Desert with the Hickey's, although we only have a picture with the giraffes. Luella wants you to know that they were eating num-na.Seal World at Dog and Cat Show, on a weekend adventure to Ya-Ya's for Aunt Megan's Birthday...
and the Turtles! Check out more Sea World fun here!
Coloring is another, but what she loves even more is for Papa to ask her to get a specific color crayon and then bring it to him. She usually brings the wrong color, but still asks to keep playing. She has blue and green down pretty well and we are working on the rest.
Mom's wallet is the winner. In fact she grabs it and say "Nu Nu's wallet." Cute huh, she calls herself Nu Nu and lately, just Nu!!!
And finally, a kitchen of her own from Bunya!!!!

Like I have said before, she is all girl...stickers, coloring, purses and cooking! Well, except for in this picture...the fauxhawk lives on!
We visited the Discovery Science center and Elmo. I am pretty sure she would just rather see him on TV...This was as close as we got. I can't blame her, he does have a certain creepiness about him in this picture.
Little Lamby!!! I love her in this jacket and I love that she always wants the hood up when she wears it.
It's official....I am a mom, here is the proof....
and Luella is growing up fast. Just yesterday she decided I am "Mommy." I have always been Mama...and know I always will be, but Mommy just makes her seem so old, but at least she does say it real cute.
I thank God for this cute girl everyday. She tell's Jesus Thank You every night, followed by a 'Aaaamennn" I think she is thanking him for me too!

16 months {this girl is goofy}
16 Months is full of "No" and "Mine". I can't even tell you the things that comes out of this little one's mouth, it is so stinkin' cute. She is dancing more, spinning more, and crying more. We recently joined Gymboree and Luella has a love-hate relationship with it. She is not one to jump right in the mix, she is an observer. She must make sure she is safe and is good, at what ever she is going to do, before she does it. She have been going for a little over a month and just last night, she finally participated in class. She sang the songs, danced the moves, and wasn't afraid of the parachute. How fun for a mama to see. Now we have been seeing these moves at home for weeks where she has been practicing, but she finally put on her big show.
This year was a good year for football, growing up a Packer Fan, it was awesome that they were in the superbowl. We had friends over, including my dad, who is the biggest packer fan that I know. Packers games came before god in my house growing up! A Packer game on Sunday morning, meant I didn't have to go to church. It was kind of crazy town her with a jake, jon, brookie and lu trapped in one room with a loud tv...that is why I have so few and such random pictures.
The night ended with all the kids tackling Becky, and Charla and I realizing (as she was running out the door with a crying baby) that we did not have a picture of the girls in there matching outfits (the picture still really doesn't show it!!!).
Lu and Brookie had a little weekday play day. Luella is very into chalk coloring and blowing bubbles lately.
We played with cars, shopping carts, balls, a water tables, a play house, a quad and more.
I absolutely love that our back yard looks like Children's Play Place! Gotta love presents, hand-me-downs and garage sales, so Fun...
Finally, we took a visit to my Mom's in San Diego. We went to the zoo with two of my high school friends and their kids, Leslie & Dylan (2) and Lisa & Kaylee (10 months)! We took nightly walks to see the sunsets on the beach to look for a green flash? And Luella antagonized Ya-Ya all weekend by not not letting my mom hold her, touch her, kiss her or really even talk to her. Luella definitely has her share a Zeekitz. This is an endearing term used by Aaron's family to describe a crazy maker, or and antagonizer. And at 16 months that is Luella!
The zoo with Papa looking at some monkeys!
Luella's friends.
Nightly walks to the beach, and Luella's love for Mark (Megan's Boyfriend). Luella loves holding hands now and walking like a big girl. Only, she usually will only hold Mama and Papa's hands, but this trip it was all about Mark. She called his name and reached for his hand and when he held hers you could tell she kind of giggled inside.
Other 16 month highlights (or lowlights, however you want to view it!)
Lu is claiming all things are "mine"...Papa's socks, my clothes and all the blankets in the house. Today she told me "my phone" although it was really mine....awesome!
Lots of dancing.
Starting to tell on Me and Papa to the other parent. "Mama...Papa, No No." Which means, "Mom, Pop said no, fix it!"
Singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with hand movements.
Liking Elmo more then Gabba (sad, Elmo is way boring).
Likes to play baby steps, big steps with me (a gabba game).
Likes to point out the moon, airplanes up above, and any animal in sight.
Like to put her baby to sleep and then tell me and papa..."Shhh, baby night night"...acutally she points out anything with it's eye's clothes and shhushes us!
Gets her feelings hurt easily...crys hard, throws herself to the ground and bites or throws whatever object in in sight.
Starting to count...if she she is in trouble and I count to 10 (like she knows what that means), and she will finish it for me by saying 10 before me! She is one smart cookie.
Finally, she like to play "shake, shake, shake" after counting to the number 3 (a gymboree song). She also does this while in a timeout while I am counting to 10. She does and little "shake, shake, shake" when I get to three. It is hard not to laugh while I finish counting to 10 but the little dance usually resets her mood and that is all I am trying to get out of a timeout these days.
Best of all she is so goofy and she knows it! I would have it any other way.

sorry it's sideways, Aaron is left handed...need I say more?...
A Little Naughty a Little Nice {Valentines Day...a little late}
Thanks to Auntie Char Char I have fantastic photos of Luella. Charla staged an amazing shot, purchased adorable (but not too cutsie) outfits, and had the best ideas, but then we put a 1 and 2 year old in the mix and nothing seemed to work. But still, as always, amazing pictures of the two little crazy girls were the result. Here are some quick pics.
There was a lot of mommy intervention in trying to get these two to do what we had envisioned. We tried food, off limit pens and markers, and a wagon...
A little bit nice, and a little bit naughty...
And the Money Shot!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one!
